Abstract Monolithic thin-wall components of 2219 Al–Cu alloy are widely used in aerospace and military fields, usually treated with solution quenching to improve their comprehensive performance. However, a high magnitude residual stress is introduced into the during process, which unfavorable subsequent manufacturing process service Therefore, relief essential enhance performance components. In present work, evolution distribution laws stresses, tensile properties, Vickers hardness, dislocations, precipitated phases, metallography were investigated.
